A group of lecturers and staff headed to Tampines Junior College (TPJC) today to interact with students as part of our Outreach efforts.

We kicked off the session with an introduction of the whole concept of openlectures, what we do, how we do it, why we do it, by CEO Qiu Linan and COO Tek Yong Jian. There was also a sample lecture by our lecturer, Pan Zi Xiang, for the topic on Vectors...

Norvin, our resident literature lecturer, delivered a talk on memory techniques, and how they helped him to remember 1000 digits of pi. (We had Zhiyuan in the other room with his Christmas Tree, but unfortunately a monkey came and stole all the pictures from that room.)

Staff members Samantha and Rebecca shared about their work experience at openlectures. (We do sincerely mean every word we said about the experience being awesome, after all staff and lecturers have to work closely together to bring you an awesome openlectures as a whole.)

To wrap up the session, we opened the floor for questions/comments and, if anyone from the session today is reading this now, we'd like to thank you for your feedback! We'll look through all of your concerns and address them accordingly to bring you a better, more user-friendly openlectures :)

That squishes today's event into a nutshell! It was a fruitful and fun day for us and we hope all of you from TPJC gained something from it as well :) If you would like openlectures to come hang with you in your school, please feel free to drop us an email at hello@openlectures.sg , and we'd be more than happy to schedule a trip.

We will be updating the blog section of openlectures regularly from now on for our events and other random things :) Stay tuned!
